In the clip, Reynolds primarily cites his bad experience with pre-Deadpool superhero films as the reason he was afraid disappointing fans of the character. In his career, Reynolds played, among other things, in Blade: Trinity, which was rather disappointing financially.

He also starred in the massive box office flop Green Lantern, which hated by many to this day becomes. And let’s not even talk about his first appearance as Wade Wilson in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
