Ryan Reynolds reveals original plan for Deadpool 3 – the

We are only a few weeks away from the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, the big Marvel blockbuster of the year. Fans are expecting a lot from the superhero film with Ryan Reynolds as fourth-wall vandal Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as the glutton Wolverine.

The original ideas for Deadpool 3 (which Deadpool & Wolverine technically isn’t supposed to be according to director Shawn Levy, as Deadline reported) looked completely different.

Ryan Reynolds originally planned Deadpool 3 as a low-budget film without special effects

Deadpool actor Reynolds actually had less of an action spectacle in mind and more of an artistic film from three different perspectives – similar to the Japanese film classic Rashomon. He revealed to Entertainment Weekly:

[Der Film] had literally 5 to 6 million dollar budget and no special effects. It was just a dialogue-heavy road trip with me, Dopinder, and some stuff we found and picked up along the way. It wasn’t meant to be an event movie. If we were on our way to point C, we would have only made it to point B. That was the weirdest thing. I liked it. I thought that was kind of funny.

While working on The Adam Project, Reynold finally brought his friend and colleague Levy on board as director – and when superstar Jackman also agreed, the project was finally given the blockbuster stamp. We will soon find out whether the film still has the potential to receive applause at film festivals or whether it will only serve as popcorn entertainment.
