This is the end of the pleadings in the trial of the two suspected Rwandan genocidaires before the Brussels Assize Court. With the defense of the second accused, Séraphin Twahirwa, prosecuted for “war crime” and “crime of genocide” for numerous murders and rapes committed as a militia leader, in the Gikondo district, in Kigali. His lawyers pleaded for acquittal on Friday, December 8, denouncing weaknesses in the investigation and questioning the credibility of the witnesses.
