Rutgers: less contraception, more abortion through alternative contraceptives

Rutgers less contraception more abortion through alternative contraceptives

Some of the women who did not use contraception even thought that the chance of pregnancy was nil (27 percent). Some (22 percent) also indicated that they had not thought about the risk of pregnancy. This indicates a lack of knowledge about fertility and contraception, says researcher Renee Finkenflügel from Rutgers. “That knowledge is inadequate, but can also be negatively influenced by incorrect information via social media, friends and family.”
