Emil Ruusuvuori will return to tennis tournaments only in two weeks at the US Open grand slam tournament. Ruusuvuori confirmed the matter on Sunday in the Stories section of his Instagram account.
Ruusuvuori has suffered from health challenges this season and has played in only two tournaments since June, Wimbledon and the Washington ATP tournament at the end of July. At the beginning of August, he withdrew from the qualifiers of the ATP Masters tournament in Montreal, and the Finn will also miss the Cincinnati Masters tournament starting next week.
Ruusuvuori, ranked 70th in the doubles world rankings, did not reveal a more detailed reason for his break from competition on Instagram.
