A ship that is said to belong to Russia’s so-called shadow fleet has circled along an area where an important gas pipeline runs between Norway and Poland, a source in the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Polish state broadcaster TVP.
Late in 2024, another ship that allegedly belonged to the shadow fleet was accused of being behind the breaking of several cables in the Baltic Sea.
The Russian shadow fleet is intended to circumvent international sanctions against the country’s energy exports that have come as a result of the war in Ukraine.
