A scientist has been detained in Russia on suspicion of treason. The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced that the scientist was detained in the capital Moscow, adding that the scientist carried out cyberattacks on critical infrastructure on behalf of Ukrainian security services.

The FSB announced that the suspect had confessed to his crime, noting that the scientist had also sent money to the Ukrainian military and collected information about the Russian armed forces.
While it was not disclosed when the scientist was detained, reports in the Russian press claimed that the detained scientist was physicist Artyom Khoroshilov.
