Russian leader Putin approved the list of ministers and officials forming the new cabinet. Putin, who took the oath of office on May 7 after winning the elections in March, submitted Mishustin to the approval of the Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament, as the prime minister candidate.

Duma deputies also approved Mishustin’s new minister list, which they accepted as prime minister.
