Russian President Vladimir Putin held a press conference after the BRICS Summit held in Kazan city of Tatarstan, Russia, and stated that Turkey reached them with a new offer for negotiations to take place between Ukraine and Russia.
“KYIV SAID NO NEGOTIATIONS”
Putin said, “Recently, the Turkish side directly called President Erdogan’s deputy from New York and said that there were new proposals to be taken into consideration in the negotiations. Türkiye also took an initiative regarding the situation in the Black Sea. About ensuring safe navigation and making some regulations and agreements regarding the safety of nuclear energy facilities. “We reached an agreement and then the head of the Kiev regime said, ‘No negotiations,'” he said.
Adding that they discussed the Kiev side’s attitude with the Turkish side, Putin said: “We also told our Turkish friends this. “We accept it, but we hear that it was canceled a day later,” he said.
