The Russian regional governor claims that Ukrainian military helicopters have attacked a fuel depot near the Ukrainian border in Belgorod, Russia.

Ukraine has not confirmed this morning’s data.

The Belgorod regional governor says two Ukrainian military helicopters would have caused a fire at the fuel depot.

Two people are said to have been injured. Residents nearby have reportedly been evacuated.

Extinguishing work is currently underway. Nearly 200 rescuers are said to be involved.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba commented, saying he could not confirm or deny the events because he did not have the necessary military information on the subject.

Belgorod is located about 35 kilometers from the Ukrainian border and about 80 kilometers from the Ukrainian city of Kharkov, which has been bombed by Russian forces since the beginning of the war.
