On Thursday, Russian forces left the strategically important Ormön in the Black Sea, near the port city of Odessa.
According to Ukrainian sources, the Russian invaders were forced to flee, but according to Moscow, it was a planned retreat in order to show that Russia does not stand in the way of Ukraine’s exports of wheat.
– As an expression of their goodwill, Russia’s armed forces on June 30 ended their mission on Ormön and left the area, says Igor Konashenkov, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense Russia.
