The United States accuses Russia of destroying a drone in the Black Sea on Tuesday evening.
According to American sources, the drone was moving in international waters. Two Russian Su-27 fighter jets doused the drone with fuel, after which one of the planes hit the drone’s propeller.
The drone fell into the sea and was destroyed. It was an unmanned MQ-9 Reaper drone.
United States Air Force published a statement (you are moving to another service)in which it described the actions of the Russian fighters as “irresponsible and unprofessional.”
Washington immediately announced that it plans to continue using drones in the Black Sea as before.
White House spokesman of John Kirby according to which the United States plans to raise the matter with the Kremlin.
– We do not need Russia’s permission to fly in international airspace. There is no reason for that, Kirby stated at a press conference in Washington.
