Russia has fired new cruise missiles at targets in central and northern Ukraine during the night of Sunday.

The Ukrainian Air Force states that four of them were shot down. In the capital Kyiv, two people were injured by debris from one of the downed robots, according to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry.

Russia, in turn, states that the military hit an airfield in the Kiev region. Ukraine has not confirmed the information.

Russia further states that two drones have been shot down over the two border regions of Bryansk and Kursk. The latter region’s governor Roman Starovoit states that a drone crashed into a residential building, but that no one was injured.

Ukraine has launched an investigation into Friday’s plane crash, in which three Ukrainian fighter pilots died after their two training planes collided mid-air.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy paid special tribute to one of them, the well-known Andriy Pilshchykov with the soldier name “Juice”, in his evening speech on Saturday.
