The Gulf of Finland Coast Guard monitors the renovation of the Russian sea cable in the Gulf of Finland.

The Russian state-owned company Rostelecom commented on the breakdown of the Russian sea cable and cable repairs late Saturday night.
The issue was reported by Russian state-owned Tass Media.
“Some time ago in the Baltic Sea, Rostelecom’s sea cable was damaged due to an external impact,” said Rostelecom.
According to Rostelecom, the cable damage did not affect the company’s customers. According to Rostelecom, repairs are ongoing.
The Ministry of Employment and the Economy previously commented to that two marine cables from Rostelecom Kaliningrad to St. Petersburg had broken in the Gulf of Finland.
It is not yet clear where the Russian cables have been damaged. On Christmas Day, December 25, the Estlink 2 cable between Finland and Estonia and four telecommunications cables broke down between Finland and Estonia.
The Finnish Coast Guard’s safety vessel is monitoring the repair operation of the Russian ship.
