A Russian man is charged with illegally flying drones over Svalbard. The man is the son of a Russian businessman with connections to Russian President Vladimir Putin, reports the newspaper Nordlys.

The man was arrested in Hammerfest, Norway, on 17 October. According to the indictment, he must have been on Svalbard between August 3 and September 6, and flew with drones several times during the period.
