Jets of the Royal Air Force (RAF) removed the Russian Tu-95 Bear H and Tu-142 Bear F type bombers, which were approaching British airspace, from the area.

According to the reports in the British press, the RAF’s Eurofigther Typhoon type jets departing from Moray and the Voyager tanker plane from Oxfordshire took off to observe the Russian bombers approaching the British airspace.
A spokesperson for the British Royal Air Force (RAF) said in a statement that British jets escorted Russian bombers out of the area.
Emphasizing that Russian planes did not enter Britain’s airspace, the spokesperson said that two of the 4 Russian aircraft were Tu-95 Bear H and the others were Tu-142 Bear F type strategic bombers. (AA)
