Director of the Finnmark Police Security Service Johan Roaldsnes does not confirm or deny the claim. He also does not want to comment on the extent of the matter.
Roaldsnes estimates that recruiting is done on Facebook.
– It is possible that social media can be a platform for Russians. This way they get to meet people who can do intelligence work in Norway, Roaldsnes tells NRK.
For the Norwegian authorities, it is nothing new that Russia is trying to get information about the country’s infrastructure.
