Neither Moscow nor kyiv have officially reported the location of their use. But according to local sources, notably those of the Russian occupation authorities, the first use of American ATACMS missiles took place at the Berdiansk airfield, along the Sea of Azov. During the night of Monday October 16 to Tuesday October 17, the takeoff runway and attack helicopters were destroyed. On Tuesday, Washington announced that it had delivered these missiles with a range of 165 kilometers to the Ukrainian forces in the greatest secrecy, so that they could shell Russian rear bases. The potential arrival of these missiles was repeatedly presented in 2022 by Moscow as a red line not to be crossed. Now in Russia the mood has changed.
