Russia hit Ukraines UAV facility with high precision missiles Attacks averted

Russia targeted the Ukrainian capital Kiev with missiles on the last day of the year. After the attack in which 1 person died and 11 people were injured, the Russian army hit the UAV production facility this time. Spokesman of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov, stated that they hit the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) production facilities on the territory of Ukraine with high-precision missiles.

Reminding Ukraine’s drone attacks on Russia, Konashenkov stated that they prevented possible attacks against them by hitting the facilities. Konashenkov said, “On December 31, Russian Federation air forces bombarded the defense industry facilities of Ukraine, which are used for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles, with long-range and high-precision weapons. Unmanned aerial vehicles produced at these facilities were used to carry out terrorist attacks against the Russian Federation. “The parking area where the drones are stored and the drone launch areas were also hit, and the targets were reached. The plans of the Kyiv regime to organize terrorist attacks against the Russian Federation soon were foiled,” he said.

Stating that the offensive of the Russian army continues in the Donetsk region, Konashenkov said, “Thanks to the active actions of the Russian army in this region, more than 110 Ukrainian soldiers, 2 infantry fighting vehicles, 5 armored vehicles and 7 vehicles were destroyed. Attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on residential areas in Zaporozhye, in the south of Donetsk, were unsuccessful. More than 50 Ukrainian soldiers, 2 armored vehicles and 3 infantry vehicles were destroyed. 6 sabotage groups were destroyed in residential areas in Zaporizhia and Donetsk. Mobile radar used by the Ukrainian army was destroyed in the Kamyshevka residential area in Donetsk. US-made AN/TPQ-50 battery-powered radar was destroyed in the Artemovsk region of Donetsk. Russian Air Force warplanes shot down an MI-8 type helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force near the village of Poltavka in Donetsk.

Referring to the casualties Russia has inflicted on the Ukrainian army so far, Konashenkov said, “Since the beginning of the special military operation, 355 aircraft, 199 helicopters, 2,779 unmanned aerial vehicles, 399 anti-aircraft missile systems, 7,350 tanks and other armored combat vehicles belonging to the Ukrainian army, “957 multiple launch rocket systems, 3,756 howitzers and mortars, and 7,859 private military vehicles were destroyed,” he said.
