The trial of Laurent Vinatier opened in Moscow on September 3, 2024. This Frenchman working for a Swiss NGO is accused of not having registered as a foreign agent with the Russian authorities. An adjourned trial which nevertheless allowed the judge to extend his preventive detention by six months.
