Russia banned the messaging application Discord!

According to the Russian TASS news agency, in a statement made by the Roskomnadzor press service, it was stated that the Discord messaging application violated Russian laws.

It was stated in the statement that the application was used for terrorist and extremist purposes, deceived citizens for these purposes, enabled drug sales and the dissemination of illegal information, and that a decision to block the application was made for these reasons.

In the statement, it was reminded that last year, Discord was fined 6 million rubles (approximately 62 thousand dollars) by court order for not deleting illegal information in the application. Roskomnadzor had previously sent a request to Discord management to remove 947 illegal materials.

Discord was founded in 2015 to enable computer players to communicate better.
