Russia attacked with missiles and drones in the early morning in different parts of Ukraine. The destination was also Kiev. Ukraine announces that it has managed to repel the majority of cruise missiles.
In the early hours of the morning, after a break of almost a couple of months, Russia began large-scale attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine.
At least 21 people have died in the attacks.
The worst damage was caused in central Ukraine in the city of Uman, where the governor Ihor Taburetsin by at least 19 people (you switch to another service) died and several were wounded when a Russian missile smashed part of a residential apartment building.

Ukrainian air defense was successful

According to the Ukrainian Defense Forces, all but two of the 23 cruise missiles fired by Russia were successfully intercepted.

According to the Reuters news agency, the mayor of Russian-held Donetsk announced that seven people were killed when a minibus was hit by a grenade fired by Ukrainian forces. Reuters could not confirm the information.
Houses were damaged and one person was injured in the town of Pantelemonivka in the Russian-controlled Donetsk region on Thursday. According to residents interviewed by Reuters, the destruction was caused by Ukrainian artillery fire.
