The capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, was attacked by missiles by Russia last night. Former world heavyweight boxing champion and mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klichko said in a statement this morning that the body of a person was recovered from the rubble of a demolished residence in Shevchenkivskyi District, where one of the missiles hit.
Klichko stated that a total of 4 people were hospitalized and 6 people received minor injuries. Emergency teams announced that the 1st and 2nd floors of the 25-storey building were partially destroyed.
“RUSSIA AGAINST EVIDENCE ITS IGNORANCE OF INTERNATIONAL LAW”
Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, made a statement regarding the missile attacks.
Josep Borrell Fontelles stated that they were shocked and horrified by Russia’s missile attacks. “Russia, together with Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, bombarded a city while UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was there, showing once again its blatant disregard for international law,” Borrell said in a statement.
