– I found a racket in the room of one of the equipment managers and it was Juhamatti Aaltonen’s old racket. It had a nice curve and I tried it on ice, Sandin Pellikka time.
– I asked if I could get a similar curve on my racket and they did it for me. I like it.
Sandin Pellikka changed his bat before this season. This was the first season he got a personalized bat for himself.
– I wanted to do as much as I could for it and get a good overall result. I got really good flat passes with it and it worked really well.
Aaltonen played in Skelelfteå in the 2018–2019 season at the same time as Sandin Pellikka played in the under-16 junior league in Kiiruna.
Aaltonen won his last competition medal, the Olympic bronze, almost ten years ago. Sandin-Pellikka was then eight years old.
– I didn’t really (know him beforehand), but I watched YouTube videos of him after I picked that racket.
