The match series between Frölunda and Leksand became a highly dramatic story that went to seven games. There, an extension was required to separate the teams. In extra time, Frölunda’s Mikael Ruohomaa stepped forward as a great match hero when he scored the winning goal after four minutes of play.

After the match, the Finn, who has represented Leksand for two seasons, also showed proof of his sporting side when he hugged all Leksand players – something that was praised by TV4 Play expert Almen Bibic.

– Isn’t this really beautiful with sports? I think this is so nice. When it’s a match, it’s loud out there, then it’s tough, but afterwards you give each other a hug “congratulations”. I think this is so fucking beautiful, stated Bibic at the same time as Ruohomaa thanked the Leksand players.

Ruohomaa herself was happy after her decision, but admitted that it was a tough feeling to send her friends out of the SC playoffs.

– Anyone could have won, we did. I have so many good friends, very good friends, I suffer with them, but someone has to win and it was us, a visibly taken Ruohomaa explained to TV4 Play before summing up:

– I love them, there are so many good friends and they will be my friends for the rest of my life. I’m happy, but at the same time… I feel for them.

Next up is the semifinal series against Skellefteå for Ruohomaa and his Frölunda, a series that begins in Skellefteå on Saturday.
