This year the organization of the 20km of Paris offers several events but also alternatives to run at a distance taking into account the sanitary conditions. Here are the different races and the dates of these.
The Paris 20 km race returns for its 43rd edition and will take place on October 10, 2021. On the program, 5 connected races and 2 on site, from June to October. These new formulas offered have been adapted to health conditions to suit as many people as possible.
This year there will be two races on site in Paris, the 20km on October 10, 2021, whose route highlights the Eiffel Tower, the Trocadéro, the Arc de Triomphe, the Bois de Boulogne, Rolland Garros, the Maison de la Radio and also the Grand Palais. Children will also have the opportunity to race: the organization offers 1000m for 6 to 9 year olds as well as 2024m for those aged 10 to 13 years old.
Regarding connected races, the principle is to run or walk at the time and place of your choice on the dates mentioned. It will be possible to run alone or in a group and the runners will be classified thanks to their connected watch or smartphone via a dozen compatible applications. Here are the 5 connected races offered:
- 5km: from June 17 to 20, 2021;
- 10km: from July 22 to 25, 2021;
- 15km: from August 26 to 29, 2021;
- 20 km: from October 7 to 10, 2021;
- 20kids: from October 7 to 10, 2021.
In particular, packs offer three races of 5km, 10km and 15km to prepare for the big day of the 20km, whether in connected mode or in face-to-face mode. The deadline to reserve a pack is June 17 if the quota of 1000 packs is not reached before.
Whether connected or face-to-face, each event will support an association (Nicolas Hulot Foundation, Abbé Pierre Foundation, Curie Institute, Action Against Hunger and Pediatricians of the World) on the basis of a transfer of 5 euros per registration and 10 euros for a pack. The connected pack is 75 euros for runners residing in France and 90 euros for runners residing in France who wish to do the big race face-to-face.
