So how do you play the Christmas gift game? It’s simple. Do this:

  • Everyone who is going to participate in the Christmas gift game buys a Christmas gift in advance for the amount you have chosen, for example SEK 50 or SEK 300, depending on what suits your financial conditions.
  • The wrapped Christmas presents are placed in the middle of a table and all participants sit down around the table.
  • Now you can either roll the dice on who starts, with the highest number winning, or you can simply let the youngest start.
  • The first player then gets to roll a die. If it shows a 1 or 6, he gets to take a Christmas present from the package pile in the middle of the table. You then go clockwise, where the luck of rolling the dice passes on to the next participant. Continue until all Christmas presents have been taken.
  • Now the slightly nerve-wracking part begins. It is time to set a timer for five minutes. During these minutes, you must, in the same order as before, roll the dice. Whoever gets a 1 or a 6 during this round must “steal” a Christmas present from someone else on the floor.
  • When the time is up, the game is over and you get to keep the packages you managed to collect.

    • For those skulls who don’t get enough there, you can also add a five-minute long round after the packages have been opened. At a 1st or 6th, you can simply take packages from others, but then with the knowledge of what it is you are taking for a pat.
