Rugby World Cup 2023: Japan will be based in Toulouse

Japan will have its base camp in Toulouse during the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France (September 8-October 28), tournament organizers and the Occitanie region announced on Friday (May 20). The host country of the last World Cup will train on the facilities of Stade Toulouse, the most successful club in French rugby. The Japanese will play two of their four Group D matches at the Stadium in Toulouse: September 10 against the second qualifier from the Americas (Chile or United States) and September 28 against Samoa. They will face England in the meantime in Nice on September 17, before closing their group stage in Nantes against Argentina on October 8.
