Rugby sevens is played on the same pitch as rugby union, and as a result, the spaces are much larger. With two seven-minute halves, the match is also much shorter. In the last Olympics, Fiji dominated the men’s tournament, winning both gold medals. In the women’s tournament, Australia won the gold medal in 2016, while New Zealand were Olympic champions in 2021. The French won the silver medal.
