The latest beta version of the tool for creating bootable USB keys allows you to install Windows 11 without having to connect to the Internet and identify yourself with a Microsoft account.
Well known to hackers, the utility for creating bootable installation USB keys may become even more essential for anyone wishing to install Windows 11. In its latest beta version, the tool includes several new options to facilitate installation of Microsoft’s operating system, bypassing certain restrictions.
You can now configure your Windows 11 installation USB drive so that the OS setup process doesn’t require you to sign in your Microsoft account. The utility has a new dialog box in which it is possible to select this option. Excellent news as Windows 22H2, the next major update to Microsoft’s operating system, should endorse this process. Also, the program publisher had the good idea to integrate another option into this dialog box which, when selected, allows you to refuse all the options offered in the Windows 11 installation wizard.
This is not the first time that Rufus has integrated circumvention tools to bypass the restrictions put in place by Microsoft. A few months ago, the software had already introduced two options in this direction. They made it possible to override the obligation to have a machine equipped with a TPM 2.0 chip, and compatible with Secure Boot, two requirements of the Redmond firm to be able to install Windows 11 on a PC.
