(Finance) – In a few weeks one million and 350 thousand employees of the education and research sector in over 7,500 independent schools, universities, research institutions, Afam will be asked to express their preference.
“We start from the constant growth recorded for our union which increases its ranks thanks to the struggles we carry out and the trust increasingly granted by teachers and Ata. We once again ask workers to follow up and trust in our actions through voting on the Anief list of President Marcello Pacifico for the votes that will be held between 14 and 16 April 2025. We are currently collecting applications because we want workers who want and can change the supplementary contracts together with us and improve the CCNL. The invitation is to vote and have people vote for our trade union association Anief. Let’s think about what it is possible to do in the next three years, with school workers, with the strength of representation in Italy and Europe”, said the leader Anief, Marcello Pacifico.
In view of the renewal of the RSUs of the Education and Research sectors, the Anief union has prepared a new union political platform containing the objectives to be achieved through bargaining with the public sector. The action of the young union will be developed to achieve equal legal and economic treatment between temporary and permanent staff, the alignment of salaries with inflation and the European average, the introduction of a headquarters allowance, fixed-term assignment determined, of burnout, of continuity in support positions.
The Anief will also insist on the elimination of restrictions on mobility and temporary assignmentstransfers on 100% of places, the free redemption of the years of university education and an exit window at 63 for the old-age pension, the revision of seniority steps (with increases every 4 years) and harmonization between different grades and orders. Furthermore, the autonomous trade union organization will aim to increase the remuneration of overtime, the alignment of the professional levels of the ATA staff and EQ recognition of the administrative management with RIA, the valorisation of middle management and system figures, the allocation of additional resources for education, abolition of TFR withholding and voluntary participation in the Espero fund.
