– It is a smoke development in a smaller room inside the opera house. So far, it is unknown what is behind it, says Jarmo Carlsten, command operator at Greater Stockholm’s fire service.
It was the staff at the Royal Opera House who alerted the emergency services.
– We have two stations plus our management cars on site, says Jarmo Carlsten.
It is unclear if a performance was in progress when the fire broke out.
