A Lithuanian long -distance root has been rescued from a storm -affected sea outside Australia, after he almost ripped into a tropical cyclone.
Long -distance root Aurimas Mockus tried to cross the Pacific alone, when he almost rowed into the tropical cyclone named Alfred.
Already on Friday, Mockus activated an emergency rocket, but he was forced to endure another three nights at sea because the threatening cyclone put sticks in the wheel for the rescue operation.
On Monday, he was safe on a rescue vessel and received care.
“The ship is on its way back to the Australian coast,” says Australia’s equivalent of the Coast Guard in a statement.
Mockus began his 12,000 kilometer journey from the United States in September. The goal was to row all the way to Australia, to pay attention to Ukraine’s war effort, but he fell on the goal line.
