A former DEA agent and a crystal meth-cooking drug lord: No, we’re not talking about the hit series Breaking Bad, but about that Action thriller Homefront. Genre luminary Jason Statham (The Beekeeper) takes on Spider-Man star James Franco and sparks a bitter drug war. You can see the film on TV tonight.

After a dangerous mission, DEA agent Phil Broker (Jason Statham) retreats to a quiet life in the country with his daughter Maddy (Izabela Vidovic). When Maddy is bullied at the new school and Phil confronts the parents, the drug dealer Gator (James Franco) is set on his tail. He begins to snoop around Phil’s past and blackmail him. It does not take long, until the situation escalates and causes deaths.

In addition to Jason Statham and James Franco, Winona Ryder (Stranger Thrings) and Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns) can be seen in the action thriller. The film was directed by Gary Fleder (The Verdict) from a screenplay by Sylvester Stallone (Demolition Man).
