RoseUp launches M@ Maison RoseUp for all women affected by

    The national association of patients RoseUp launches its online space M@ Maison RoseUp for all women with cancer throughout France. An initiative that aims to make information and support accessible to all.

    Created 10 years ago, RoseUp is an association approved by the Ministry of Health. Its main missions are information, support and defense of the rights of women affected by cancer. Their objective ? Give to patients “all the tools necessary to be actresses of their life course from the announcement of the disease, during and after treatment, and thus to enable them to retain their full place in society”.

    Physically present in Paris and Bordeaux, and everywhere in France on paper with Rose Magazine, the association has decided to go further in supporting patients. She challenged herself to help 100% of women affected by cancer in France by creating an online space “personalized, human and secure” : M@ Maison RoseUp.

    Why did you create M@ Maison RoseUp?

    “M@ Maison RoseUp was born from a double experience, first that of our physical houses on which we had an impact study carried out, and that of the health crisis. In March 2020, we had to close our two establishments. Three days later, we decided to digitize our workshops as much as possible. It was a great success, beyond what we thought: in the 180 workshops organized from March to December 2020, we had 80,000 participants”says Isabelle Huet, CEO of RoseUp.

    In Paris and Bordeaux, “RoseUp Homes” welcome women touched by cancer. There, workshops, conferences and support are offered. But it is complicated for the association to have an impact on every woman in France, for obvious reasons of spatial and social proximity.

    “Today, only 30% of patients benefit from supportive care nearby. The needs are enormous. There are very big inequalities on the territory, digital makes it possible to reach more people and more easily”adds Isabelle Huet.

    This new online service allows all women to be informed and supported as soon as the disease is announced, during and after treatment.

    “The objective is really to provide information and support that are as close as possible to the needs and desires of women”, says the director of the association.

    The procedure is quite simple, however it requires an Internet connection. Just go to the association’s website. rose-up.fr. You can thus inform yourself according to two connection methods:

    • By browsing freely on the site;
    • By benefiting from personalized support.

    For the second option, you just need to create an account with your email address. The connection is simple, secure and free (https://www.rose-up.fr/mamaisonroseup/). At the time of registration, you will be offered a questionnaire. The themes of the questions vary according to your type of cancer (and the stage of the disease), your centers of interest and your family situation (because M@ Maison RoseUp offers parental content). You will receive personalized information adapted to your situation.

    M@ Maison RoseUp: “Put digital technology at the service of people”

    The RoseUp association was inspired by the model of its existing houses in Paris and Bordeaux to create its online space. Patients can get a “human support” with the help “recurring professional speakers” and “of a dedicated project manager”.

    “The human dimension is very important: it’s about putting digital at the service of people, and not the other way around”assures the director of the association.

    Many workshops and personalized programs are offered there, according to different themes, which allow women to ask their questions:

    • Beauty ;
    • Welfare ;
    • Nutrition ;
    • Adapted physical activity;
    • Sexuality;
    • Maintaining and returning to work;
    • Fees and aids;
    • Support program for metastatic cancer.

    Information is also available on the digital space, via various media: articles, fact sheets, webinars, podcasts, videos, questions/answers sections, etc.

    “We want women to be actors in their journey and to be able to choose what is good for them. This is why we have imagined different formats to adapt to all profiles with different ages, different socio-professional categories or even different appetites”adds the director of RoseUp.

    “This support may evolve according to their personal situation”in particular depending on the stage of the disease, concludes Isabelle Huet.

    To go further, the association indicates that women can obtain an annual membership to RoseUp, up to €30 in order to guarantee them access to all the content offered (webinars and individual workshops).
