It has previously been reported that Eskilstuna United needs to sell several players in order to keep their elite license beyond 2023. Now a player sale is complete.
FC Rosengård have signed midfielder Halimatu Ayinde from United on a contract until 2025.
“FC Rosengård is a top club and I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to represent it,” says Ayinde.
The 27-year-old has represented Nigeria in both the 2015 and 2019 World Cups, she is also expected to be relevant for the 2023 World Cup.
“Halimatu is a powerful midfielder with great work capacity. She will be very useful this autumn with our tight match schedule. We are very pleased to be able to make this reinforcement before the window closes,” says Rosengård’s sporting director Therese Sjögran.
Ayinde joins next week and will wear shirt number 4.
