ROPE squad looking for federal offender known to frequent Brantford and Hamilton

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad is asking for help locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for a breach of his statutory release.

John Francis Curtin is known to frequent Hamilton, Brantford, Toronto and Thunder Bay as well as Edmonton, Alberta and Winnipeg, Manitoba, said a news release.

He is serving a five-year, one month, 20-day sentence for two counts of armed robbery, two counts of robbery, possession of a weapon or imitation, four counts of break and enter, six counts of theft, using a forged document , forgery, possession of property obtained by crime and impaired driving.

Curtin is a 69-year-old white male who is about 5’10” in height and weighs 150 pounds. He has long grey/brown hair, hazel eyes and usually has facial hair (grey beard), said the release.

Curtin also has a noticeable scar on his nose.
