Roope Hintz was hit hard in Dallas’ victory over Washington in the hockey NHL. The Florida Panthers knocked off the Edmonton Oilers in last season’s finals meeting between the teams.

Roope Hintz led the Dallas Stars to a 3–1 victory over the Washington Capitals in the hockey NHL. Hintz scored in the second period to tie Dallas at 1–1 and scored a 3–1 goal in the third period of the contest. Hintz was chosen as the number one star of the match.

The Florida Panthers celebrated a 6-5 away win over the Edmonton Oilers in last season’s finals meeting. Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov did not play in the match. Barkov was already ill on the sidelines from his team’s previous match.

Niko Mikkola leveled the match at 4–4 in the third set and Sam Reinhart gave the Panthers a 5-4 lead just half a minute later. The Oilers got even higher with Kasperi Kapanen hitting the level, but Carter Verhaeghe decided a 6–5 win for the Panthers. Mikkola got the assist for the winning goal. Anton Lundell got into the match with two assists.

The match between the Vancouver Canucks and the Colorado Avalanche is still pending.
