One of the world’s all-time best soccer players, Cristiano Ronaldo, is leaving Manchester United, the club said on its website.
Ronaldo recently spoke out about his situation at the club, in a long interview with British journalist Pierce Morgan. The superstar then went hard for United’s coach Erik Ten Hag, as well as for the club’s owner.
Manchester United writes that it is a mutual agreement.
“The club thanks him for his enormous contribution during two spells at Old Trafford,” wrote Manchester United on Twitter.
The Portuguese striker is currently in Qatar with the national team and getting ready for his World Cup debut.
“I wish the team every success in the coming season and in the future,” writes the star himself on Twitter.
