“Feelings of sadness, anger and powerlessness are prevalent among Palestinians, including me,” says Palestinian Rona from Utrecht. Rona was born in Bethlehem in 2000 and is the child of a Palestinian mother and a Dutch father. When she was one year old, she moved to the Netherlands with her family because of the Second Intifada. “There were many Israeli aggressions in the Bethlehem region, which made my parents decide to move to the Netherlands.”
