For many fans, the Harry Potter series is an absolute feel-good rush. For several main actors, however, this can only be said to a limited extent. Daniel Radcliffe’s problems with the popularity of his leading role are well known. But also Rupert Grint eventually got fed up with Ron Weasley. He explained that in an interview.

He told the Hollywood Reporter:
Harry Potter [zu drehen], meant full throttle. We filmed all year and then went on a press tour. […] It was completely suffocating. […] I wanted a break to reflect. For a while it felt like I wasn’t in my body at all. We stopped at the right time. Had we continued, things would have gone downhill.
Their roles were for the actors of the franchise lead roles though a great opportunity, but at the same time an extreme test of endurance. Daniel Radcliffe is still on the run from Harry Potter today. He, Grint and also co-star Emma Watson have worked hard to become known for appearances beyond the Hogwarts world.

Grint has recently been pursuing this ambition on surprisingly dark paths. For example, he starred in the horror series Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities. He will soon be starring in M. Night Shyamalan’s horror thriller Knock at the Cabin.
