Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will tomorrow announce his candidacy for next year’s presidential election in the United States, US media write. After NBC reported on tomorrow’s plans, DeSanti’s spokesperson confirmed the news to CNN.
DeSantis, who is seen as the main challenger to Donald Trump on the Republican side, will participate in a digital conference on Wednesday together with Twitter owner Elon Musk, among others.
According to NBC’s sources, DeSantis will launch a promotional video tomorrow. His first campaign visit outside the country is expected to take place next week.
“Reminiscent of a monster”
The digital event, which includes a conversation between Elon Musk and Ron DeSantis on Twitter, starts at 19:00 local time (one o’clock on Thursday night Swedish time).
During Tuesday, USA connoisseur Andreas Utterström talked about Ron DeSantis in Efter fem.
– From what I’ve seen of Ron DeSantis so far, I think he resembles the monster in a horror movie, awe-inspiring as long as it only exists in the imagination. When you see how the person talks and behaves, it no longer turns out that way, he says in the program.
Utterström also says that there are both similarities and differences between DeSantis and Trump.
– DeSantis often stresses that he stands for about the same things that Trump does but that there will be less drama, and that he gets things done because he is governor.
