Romulus gives hope for the future of the franchise

In a few weeks one of the most successful sci-fi film series back to the cinema. Alien: Romulus doesn’t just want to tell stories from the distant future, but above all it wants to make us officially pee in the astro shorts.

How this will be tackled was indicated by the Final trailer full of face-huggers and sexually suggestive body horror from 20th Century Fox, which we don’t want to withhold from you. Here is the German version:

Alien Romulus – Final Trailer (German) HD

This is what the sci-fi horror Alien: Romulus is about

The film by director Fede Álvarez (Don’t Breathe) takes place between Alien and Aliens, the first two parts of the series. A group of young space colonizers (including Cailee Spaeny) locate an abandoned space station in the cold darkness of space. They decide to plunder it, without knowing which creature specialized in killing is hiding in the dark corridors.

The last installment in the series to date was Alien: Covenant in 2017, for which Ridley Scott, the director of the original film, returned.

When is Alien: Romulus coming to theaters – and what else is coming up?

The new Alien film is sailing on 15 August 2024 in local cinemas. But that’s not all: The US broadcaster FX is simultaneously planning a TV series called Alien: Earth, the title of which was only revealed this week.

Alien: Earth, as the name suggests, is set on Earth in the not-so-distant future and will deal with, among other things, the creation of androids and the machinations of the Weyland Yutani Corporation deal with.

However, it will still be a while before the series starts. Do you need more predictable formats for your watchlist? Here you go:
