All six skaters in the final heat were gathered when it was time for the decision in the SC roller ski sprint in Västerås.
Moa Hansson made her way in a tight situation, and then slowed down Linn Sömskar.

“Not so fun”
After the finish, but before the jury made a decision about the situation, Hansson told about the incident.
– I didn’t know there was anyone there. When I checked there it was clean. Then she was right behind.
Hansson finished second yesterday and looked like he could take home the victory today.
– Right now it doesn’t feel like much fun. You want to win fairly, I don’t know how ugly it was, she says in SVT.
Cushioned Seams
Linn Sömskar instead took her second SM gold in two days but was subdued afterwards.
– I would have been a quite satisfied runner-up too, she says in SVT.
– Moa comes in very tight on me and I get blocked. After that I ride on pure adrenaline.
Jackline Lockner was second and Alicia Persson took the bronze.
On the men’s side, George Ersson won gold, Karl-Johan Westberg silver and Anton Persson bronze.
