A clearing rave is in full swing in the village of Yahidne in northern Ukraine. 200 volunteers clear, clean, dance and rebuild in the village that was occupied by Russian forces until a few months ago.
– We have come here to support the residents here who survived the Russian occupation. It has really been terrible here, says Tatjana Byrianova, who is one of the volunteers.
The rave scene was big in Ukraine before the war, but with a nighttime curfew in Kyiv, there is now dancing during the day with shovels and wheelbarrows.
– Last summer there was a festival every weekend here. We miss it, says Tatjana Byrianova.
