Pierre Johnsson called opposing coach Roger Rönnberg “narcissist”.
Now the Frölunda coach comes with a replica.
– It is good that he develops and has found a way to put mental analyzes on people, says Rönnberg at a press conference.
It was in connection with Skellefteå’s 5-0 victory against Frölunda in December that the dispute between the SHL coaches Pierre Johnsson41, and Roger Rönnberg53, came to life. With 45 seconds left of the match, Johnsson took a timeout, which Rönnberg in turn interpreted as a personal mockery.
“They are looking for one thing and that is to mock us,” he said.
Pierre Johnson’s words about Roger Rönnberg
When Frölunda recently won 5-1 against Skellefteå, Roger Rönnberg, who leaves Swedish hockey after the season to take over Swiss Friborg-Gottéron, got the question in TV4 if he had considered taking a timeout at the end.
– Answer no. There is a chance to show young boys to coaches out there how to behave, how to show class, he said.

Pierre Johnsson lit on those words. The Warmlander spoke out in the local newspaper Norran on Thursday.
– First of all, he believes that our timeout is based on mocking him. That he seems to think that the whole world revolves around him. It is ridiculous to hook up on such a thing. This really wasn’t about class. And talking on TV to someone who can’t defend themselves is also not very much class.
Rönnberg’s new words in the coach
Pierre Johnsson even went so far that he attributed to the rival trainer a couple not so flattering character traits. He is very tough in his statement, even though the two gentlemen have a past together in both Luleå and Frölunda.
– Roger has given the words self -goodness and narcissism a face, says Johnsson.

After Frölunda’s new 5-2 victory at home against Modo on Thursday evening, Rönnberg got a chance to replicate the Skellefteå coach’s attack. He then chose a little more accommodating and quiet way to appeal to Pierre Johnsson.
– I heard that Pierre seems to be angry and he must be. First, I will not say anything bad about Pierre Johnsson, a man I have known in almost all my life. A whole shelf guy, an incredibly lovely guy and we have competed together and competed against each other and he has every right to get pissed on me, he says and continues:
– It is good that he develops and has found a way to put mental analyzes on people. He may not be completely wrong. I read exactly what a narcissist is and damn much is right for me. So he’s probably right. I have to suck that in. Thanks, Pierre.
What do you think of Roger Rönnberg’s response to Pierre Johnson’s play? Sure, it’s still a little fun when it’s hot in SHL, even if you don’t want the players and leaders to go to personal attacks!? Feel free to comment on the Sport Bible Facebook page.
