The quarterfinals series between Frölunda and Timrå is in full swing.
Then Roger Rönnberg sends a cocky pass to the opposing trainer Olli Jokinen, who he accuses to try to influence the judges.
– I think it’s pathetic. It should not go this way, he says after the match.
Frölunda has linked the grip on the quarterfinals series against Timrå. After Tuesday’s win, they now have 2-1 in matches in the SHL playoffs. Now it has started to heat between the team coaches as well. Roger Rönnberg53, accuses Olli Jokinen46, to try to find sympathy in the judges and influence their assessments.
Roger Rönnberg’s new tactics
It was after the second match between the teams that Jokinen complained about the expulsions that Hans Timrå had received. He then said that the judicial corps has too much respect for Frölunda. Rönnberg didn’t think it was okay. After the victory on Tuesday, it was he who sat at the press conference and complained about the judges. He also sent a pass to the Finnish coach.

– I’ll do the same today. I’ll cry the same way you did. Because it seems that they are listening. The respect we got tonight is not at the right level. Sure we have some bad discipline in some situations, but you can easily find 3-4 expulsions the other way. It is bad that they look at the press conference, says Rönnberg according to Sportbladet.
The fuss at the press conference
Frölunda received 16 deportation minutes in the third quarterfinals, Timrå got six. Roger Rönnberg thinks this is absolutely incredible.
– I think it’s pathetic. It should not go this way. It is sad but I have to try now we will see in two days if I am rewarded, he says before Olli Jokinen breaks in:
– I said what I felt after the second match. Roger can say how he looks at the matter. But I don’t agree.
