Roger Rönnberg’s Frölunda went on a hard blow last time against Brynäs.
Now he sticks his chin out and says he will never be able to coach the rival club.
– Are you kidding?, he says to Sportbladet.
He has been faithful to Frölunda since the 2013/2014 season. During Roger Rönnberg’s53, rule, the Gothenburgers have won the league twice and the CHL as many as four (!) times. But this is his last year in the FHC – after twelve seasons, the moving load goes to the Swiss Fribourg-Gottéron this spring.
Lost the match against Brynäs
So this will be Rönnberg’s last chance to win something more with Frölunda. After the four opening rounds of the SHL, the team is in fifth place with two wins and two losses. They started by beating Leksand 5-1. Then there was a cod against Rögle (3-4), a win against HV71 (3-1) and now most recently a loss against Brynäs with 3-5.
After the last match, a not too disappointed Roger Rönnberg met the media in the mixed zone. Despite his team having a 2-0 lead, they managed to lose the match. But he wasn’t terribly disappointed.

– The team has striking power and we score a lot of good minutes. We need to manage the emotional wall during the matches and it is quite natural that it looks like this at the beginning of the season when the will is this high. I’m not that worried, he tells Sportbladet.
Roger Rönnberg’s words about Brynäs
The Monitor ERP Arena – previously, among other things, Gavlerinken Arena and Läkerol Arena – is a bit of a nightmare hall for Roger Rönnberg. He has a very weak result on bortais in Gävle. He is also aware of this himself.
Because he has such lousy statistics against Brynäs, he thinks that it will be impossible in the future to get a job at the club. They simply won’t want him.
– Are you kidding or not? I will never get a job in Brynäs anyway, I know that. I have almost never won in this arena. I think we had… before this game some reporter said we had 3 out of 20 I think. So we have at least won at some point, he says.

It’s still very fun that you can invite yourself right after a loss, Roger. That’s great of you. Good luck with the rest of the season.
