The latest job posting posted on Rockstar’s official career page offers clues as to the possible setting for the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 game.
Almost ten years have passed since the release of GTA 5. But Rockstar doesn’t seem to want to release Grand Theft Auto 6 quickly. Grand Theft Auto 6is probably one of the most anticipated games in history, and fans have been waiting for a new excitement since the release of Grand Theft Auto 5.
GTA 6 is in the focus of constant attention
The success of GTA 5 is another reason for the excitement for GTA 6. Because expectations are based on surpassing GTA 5, the second best-selling game in video game history. Other than that, fans don’t know much about the game, apart from the sad GTA 6 leak that surfaced in September 2022. However, Rockstar may have leaked an interesting detail about its upcoming game through a job posting.

Rockstar is looking for a character montage artist
On the career page of Rockstar Games, a Character Editing Artist position at the Toronto studio is currently open. Also, this position probably offers a clue about GTA 6. The job requires the candidate to be well-versed in “period-specific cultures and demographics” and bring insight into fashion and street style.
The job also asks the candidate to populate the open world, which probably involves creating and styling NPCs according to the game’s setting. While there’s no official flashback or time-lapse confirmation for Grand Theft Auto 6, this job posting seems to at least confirm that some of the game won’t take place in the modern era.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently stated that the company will experience a “significant milestone” in fiscal 2025, which could mean the game could be released between 2024-25. A user claimed that GTA 6 could be released in 2024 during the holiday period. This seems possible after Zelnick’s statement.
One of the recent leaks revealed that Grand Theft Auto 6 has been in development since 2015. This was voiced by a former Rockstar employee who left the company in 2018. Interestingly, the same person also mentioned that a game titled Bully 2 was in development but was soon canceled.
