The cyber attack was not only limited to game projects, but also caused the personal information and work e-mail addresses of the company’s employees to be leaked. This data, which includes information about 1158 employees, is considered a sign of serious negligence in the company’s security measures. Such leaks can cause serious problems for the gaming industry; may affect marketing strategies, development processes, copyrights and confidentiality agreements. Additionally, the dissemination of incomplete or inaccurate information can increase the production costs of games. Rockstar Games may have to make serious efforts to take precautions and control the situation after this security breach.
