Rockstar Games, one of the giant names in the game industry, announced that it was recently exposed to a major cyber attack and important information about its future projects as well as the codes of its popular production GTA V were leaked. The 4 GB files shared by the hacker via Telegram contained details not only about the source codes of GTA V, but also about expected productions such as GTA 6, Agent, Bully 2, Midnight Club 5.

The statement said, “Since there is a huge demand for the source codes, the telegram will remain private for a while, then I will make it public so you monkeys can do whatever you want.” It was stated that the hacker emphasized his intention after the attack with his statements. A total of 200 GB of leaked data poses a great risk in terms of including Rockstar Games’ strategic plans for future projects.
The cyber attack was not only limited to game projects, but also caused the personal information and work e-mail addresses of the company’s employees to be leaked. This data, which includes information about 1158 employees, is considered a sign of serious negligence in the company’s security measures.
